Mother’s day this year was as usual. We never celebrate much on mother’s day. S usually brings me flowers and may be a card. Mother’s day is extra special to me because Sanjay was born on Mother’s day weekend. So, now, mother’s day always makes me think of his birth 🙂
Sarath’s teacher had the kids make a gift for the moms. Sarath worked hard to finish the gift and was very proud of it. When I went to pick him up on Friday evening, the gift was in his cubby. He immediately said “amma, you have to open it only on Sunday”. On Saturday, he told me “amma, on the back of the gift, it says that someone loves you”. I smiled and said “Ok. I will see it when I open it”.
Finally Sunday morning when I opened it, he was happy and told me all about it. When I told him how nice the gift was and how happy I was to get that gift, he was very happy. It is very beautiful and I love it 🙂
Sanjay is talking a lot now and he actually wished me “Happy Mother’s day” and that was really cute 🙂
What a sweet kid Sarath is. That gift is soooo lovely. Love the quote. 🙂 Perfect words from Sanjay ..isnt it? 🙂 Hope I will meet them soon. 🙂
